CLS MD87 tail cone entry
« on: December 13, 2018, 06:56:11 pm »
Hi guys!

Am loving the boarding of passengers!  However, flying with the CLS MD87 is there a way to allocate the tail cone exit as a pax door with embedded stairs?

Can only board through pax door 1 at mo, but loving that pax can actually climb the airstairs!

Am loving the boarding of passengers!  However, flying with the CLS MD87 is there a way to allocate the tail cone exit as a pax door with embedded stairs?

Here's an example of the rear exit door configuration we made for the Leonardo Maddog X:

[exit4]
pos = -0.01 -12.15 -0.20 -90.00
code = (L:aft_stair_MD,bool)
name = Rear Exit
embeddedStair = -0.01 -12.84 -0.30 -0.01 -16.47 -2.69

The numbers will likely not match yours, so they will have to be adjusted using the editor and, you will surely have to change the name of the custom variable L:aft_stair_MD into something else, if you could find the matching name of the CLS aircraft.

The MOST important thing are those numbers reading -0.01, which are all X (lateral) positions of both the main (invisible) door and the embedded stairs. They are made this way, so the program will identify it as a "Left" exit, which is required for passengers to appear. So, feel free to move all 3 points, as long their lateral coordinate will always read -0.01 (or any negative number, but -0.01 is fine).

The coordinates of the main door should be somewhere in the inside of the airplane, before the first step (the highest end) of the stair. Don't place one on top of another but, allow at least 1-2 meters between the door and the first step.
