Passenger count LVAR, when is it read?
« on: December 01, 2018, 06:17:12 pm »
A quick question - my VA's flight data recorder gets passenger loads and if GSX is detected will pass them to GSX via the LVAR. When boarding, when is the LVAR read? I requested boarding while catering was in progress, but forgot to send the pax load until after I had requested boarding, but before the operation started.

Is this expected?

Cheers!

The LVar must be set before you call Boarding so yes, if you forgot to set it, it's not used.

The reason why it must be read before boarding starts, is that GSX must first of all create all the vehicles around you, and some of them (the number of carts, for example), depends on the number of passengers, that's why it must known before everything else.
