Departure Clearance Requested - cannot pushback
« on: November 11, 2018, 09:15:56 pm »
Every 2nd or 3rd flight after I have requested catering and passengers have boarded, when I request pushback GSX tells me "Departure Clearance Requested" and never goes any further, no options for pushback even if I wait a minute or request it again. It does NOT appear to be scenery related since if I reset the gate position and immediately request pushback, it always functions correctly.

There doesn't appear to be anything in the Couatl.log, but IIRC when I reset the position the log got overwritten. I have had this problem with FSX, P3Dv3 and P3Dv4. Let me know what further information you need to help track down this bug.

Cheers!

Luke

Please clarify if this happens only on arrival, after having used GSX for the departure. Or, if it can happen even if you haven't used GSX on that session.

In my case it was during departure having used GSX as normal for catering, fuelling and boarding in that order and 1 at a time.   Everthing was normal up until the pushback didn't start.

I had exactly the same prb. and resolve it as follow:
GSX options - Simulation - Display only important message.
(It was on Display all messages)

Hope this helps

Then you must have seen some kind of message saying why you cannot start the pushback. In fact, if you do exactly the opposite, and disable some messages, you might miss something GSX is trying to tell you about WHY it cannot proceed with puhsback.

The PMDG 737, for example, has the following constraints before pushback can start:

- WheelChocks must be removed

- The PMDG GPU and Air Start Unit must be removed

- The APU must be turned On

- The Pitot Covers must be removed

It only happens on departure, different sims, different aircraft.

If it that I was missing some pre-requisite would it still not work after I reset the gate position? That seems significant, every time it works after I reset the gate. it's like there's some sort of race condition or similarly inconsistent act that messes up GSX's internal state.

Cheers!

Just happened again. G79 at default p3Dv4 KBOS, PMDG 737-800. Reset the gate position and pushback was available.

Cheers!
