Gsx no longer works, addon manager disappeared (FSX)

Hello everyone !
Since updating GSX Level2 yesterday I can not use GSX anymore and I'm no longer the AddonManager menu for activated, would anyone have the solution? thank you

Same here, using FSX Steam, GSX just disappeared after the last update.
Yes i had my AntiVirus OFF, and yes i did get the Warning while starting FSX about Virtuali Software and Yes i did klick Yes on both, but GSX disappeared from the Addon Menu as did all my custom jetways

Same thing for me even if I'm not on fsx steam, I'm waiting for a solution or a new patch because I never fly without GSX ...

I cannot replicate the problem. That's likely the antivirus fault that, just because we updated Couatl.exe, is mistakenly assuming it might be a threat.

- Restart Windows

- Configure the Antivirus to exclude the whole Addon Manager from scanning.

- Run the Live Update again.

Me too (FSX). My malware is set to exclude and was working fine. I updated yesterday and Gsx was gone. I have uninstalled and re-installed but still no GSX. What do do next?

I can only repeat and confirm the problem doesn't happen here, and I tested it multiple times. Please follow my previous instructions to the letter, including a Windows restart:

- Restart Windows

- Configure the Antivirus to exclude the whole Addon Manager from scanning.

- Run the Live Update again.

Mine also, and I'm not running an anti virus at all. Its was after the update. I reloaded an Image disk and updated and the same thing, no menu. SODE is running and the DLL test is good.
went I shut down FSX I do get a warning that GSX has had an APPCRASH.

I followed your instructions step by step, still no change, my FSX Drive is excluded from any Antivirus Scan, my AntiVirus is always turned OFF when intsalling any Addon and when FSX is running.
Everything worked fine until the latest update, so i think it's safe to assume that said update causes this problem.

I can see the couatl.exe running in the Task Manager, but there is no entry in the FSX Drop Down Menu whatsoever, the Addon Manager and GSX just disappeared.

You are not alone.

I've never had so much problem with a bit of trial software (Level2) and various updates to try and correct any bugs , be it with GSX or Level 2.

We can't all be doing something wrong!!!

I just had a Teamviewer session with an affected user and yes, I don't know why the Addon Manager didn't start on his system. He was using Windows 7, are you using Windows 7 too ? Maybe there's something in the new version that might have broken Windows 7 compatibility somehow (although it wasn't done intentionally).

I restored the previous version on Live Update so, if you run it again, it should download the previous version of the dll, which should work on every system. I'll try to understand what the problem is, but in the meantime, you should be good to go.

Umberto that worked but... my home base third party airport KDTW now causes couatl script engine to crash. I dont have any issue at other airports just my third party. Any suggestions?

The problem is caused by a customization .INI file for that airport that calls logos with codes that do not exists.  Could be you created some custom logos ? If yes, it's best you keep them in a separate folder, otherwise they'll be removed on the next Live Update. But your existing .INI file is still calling them.

The easiest thing would be removing it from the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX folder and do it again.
