GSX Level 2

I have been reading several posts on here about GSX Level 2, and as much as I would like to purchase it, and I still might, eventually, i'm beginning to think it's more trouble than it's worth.

Most people apart from the geeks just want to install and go with these sort of products, not spend hours either trying to get it to work or waiting and age for any support, only to be baffled by technical jargon.

Anyone else feel like I do.

You are probably being mislead by the number of post but, most of the issues are happening only when user try to customize 3rd party airports that didn't had SODE jetway, and the matter itself might be complex, if you don't know anything about scenery design.

And of course, like any other FSDT product, GSX Level 2 comes as a Try before buy product.  Before trying to customize it on a 3rd party airport, try it on a default airport first, to see what it does.

OK. I have done a clean install of GSX/Level 2 which I assume level 2 has the trial version included.

Not sure what is included in the trial version, but below are a few problems I am encountering.  

Problem number 1. I am at London Stansted airport, gate 11 (default) with default FSX 737-800. I cannot get the jetway to operate. Always use to.

Problem number 2. Ctrl+F12 for the menu does not always work. Also tried Shift+Ctrl+F12 but no luck.

Problem number 3. Passengers not showing. This was at Malta airport (default) with default FSX 737-800

That's normal, if you have GSX level 2 in Trial, because all replaced SODE jetways are static, outside the Trial areas. SODE jetways will show only in Trial airports and FSDT airports.

No, we haven't hijacked your old jetways: if you are not interested in the Level 2 Expansion, you can RESTORE your default jetways with the GSX Control Panel utility.

That's normal, if you have GSX level 2 in Trial. Passengers will show only in Trial airports and FSDT airports.

I thought the idea of a 'Trial' was to see the full product working until the trial ended.

It's not that I am not interested in the Level 2 Expansion, but if you are offering a trial why not allow the  jetway operations.

Yes, the manual usually tells you everything you need to know, and I'm sure it takes less effort to check it than writing a post on the forum.

The Trial areas, were the product will work fully are as follows:

Milano Linate - LIML - Italy
San Francisco - KSFO - USA - from FlightBeam
Munich - EDDM - Germany - default or Aerosoft’s

Default FSX airport and 737-800 at Milano Linate - LIML - Italy.

Cannot get the drop the down menu to show.
 

Ctrl+F12 works the drop down menu OK for old saved flights but will not work for new flights with GSX/Level2/Trial.

Your screenshot doesn't say anything, other than you were in a different position in the one with no menu.

Do you sill have the GSX menu under "Addons" menu after loading that flight ?

I thought I explained that the image with no menu is because it will not show since installing GSX/Level2/Trial.

That's all normal. Are you able to open the GSX menu from the menu, instead of the keys ?

My mistake, that should have read "showing NO menu at Munich airport

That's very strange. If you bought GSX (and even if you haven't) and have Level 2 in Trial, you should always see both GSX and GSX Level 2 working in Trial airports at least.
