Micro hops?

I noticed when taxing around airport I hear noises like wheels hiting ground lights but way louder. So I started paying attention while taxing around with close up on nose wheel. And it appear to be hopping around quit often. Make it sound like someones waacking airframe with metal baseball bat.

Any suggestions if this was done or purpose?

Of course it was made on purpose: haven't you noticed it happens in sync with the drainage lines on the asphalt ? You can of course turn it off, from the KMEM YouControl menu, the "Gear Bumps" option.
