Boarding FSLabs causes massive FPS droppes
« on: October 02, 2018, 12:34:12 pm »
As soon I start boarding with the FSL A319/320 the FPS dropping all few seconds down to a single value 5-8.

Doesn't matter I'm at a addon or a standard airport.

The weird thing is if I just use the PB option nothing happens. GSX Version 1 und Lvl2

No other plane is affected .

Any ideas?

How's your passenger density ?

You can expect some fps drop with passengers (depending on their density) 5-8 is unheard of, but it doesn't say much without knowing your previous frame rate. And, you don't say which simulator you use, and you don't say anything about your hardware.

Hi Umberto thx for the fast reply.

I tested without GSX LvL2 active. (Should I set the density down as well ?) But with no other plane I experiencing this droppes

I use P3Dv4.3 with the current version of FSL

I've aprox 35 FPS in VC at every addon airport. The weird thing is as soon as boarding and PB is done the FPS are back to normal without droppings

My system is Intel i7700 OC to 4700 no HT
ASUS 1070 no OC
16GB Ram 3000er
P3D on a SSD

You mean you have the fps drop even without passengers ? How you made this test ? With GSX Level 2 in Trial, on a non-Trial airport ?

I deactivate LvL 2 at the Addon Manager and made also a clean install of GSX without LVL2 active. Testet at non trail Airports also at the P3D standard airports far away in asia without any scenery addons

Yes I've. At any airport boarding with passengers e.g. at a parking position they are walking like zombies. At normal gates I can't see the pax but I can see the droppes.

If I only use the PB function nothing happens. Also as soon boarding and PB is done and the PB car etc. disappear all is back to normal.

UPDATE:

I forgot to mention that I don't have this droppes during deboarding at the destination airport.

Deboarding is A BIT less fps intensive than Boarding, since the time interval between passengers is a bit longer. But it's only a minimum difference, what you report is not normal.

Does it happen only with the FS Labs ?

Yes, this only happens with the FS Labs A319/320.

PMDG 737/747/777 and QW787 are not affected

Well after a couple of tests I found some weird behavior and attached two videos.

I assume it is easier to see what happens as to explain it.

The first video was after a PC restart. You will see the FPS at the top left corner. (min/average/max) You can see that the FPS dropped down to a single value.

https://mega.nz/#!CqZ1jKJC!H5DU88CoFl0sZAJwolEO7-p_Ll0TOXNsrhSO7UBkL_8

The second video was made without a PC restart. Just restart P3D and start boarding.

It seems to be that this issue just happens if the PC is fresh started. I tested a lot of times without a PC restart and the issue was gone.
Every first run of the P3D and GSX after restart the PC the issue comes back.

Hope this helps to find out what happens.

UPDATE at 07:30 AM

tested with LvL2 active and settings PAX to very dense. Same at described above. Without restart PC no significant FPS droppes. With restart massive droppes.

A possible reason might be your antivirus, which started to scan the whole system. It only happened after a restart, because if your system was running for a while, it didn't repeat a new scan if one was already one that day.

Try to exclude the following folders from scanning:

- The whole simulator folder

- The Addon Manager folder
