Jetways not working with TFS A330-200
« on: October 02, 2018, 05:57:42 am »
Hi there,

I can't get the jetways to connect to this aircraft. No matter what airport or parking position, it says "No jetway can operate at this position."

Here is the exits section from the CFG:

[exits]
number_of_exits = 4
exit.0 = 0.40, 45.40, -8.40, 2.70, 0
exit.1 = 0.1 //Percent per second
exit.2 = 0.1 //Percent per second
exit.3 = 0.40, 74.40, -7.40, 2.70, 0

Can anyone see anything that would prevent the jetways from connecting?

Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

Hi,

GSX Level 2 jetways will not dock to AI aircraft.

I don't think he tried to dock an AI aircraft, otherwise he wouldn't see that message (meaning he's using GSX).

SODE jetways operated from GSX don't use the [exits] section of the airplane.cfg file, but rather the GSX door configuration, which is way more precise. But of course, this assumes you configured this airplane correctly in GSX, with all its doors in the proper place.

You don't say which aircraft is, so I guess it's an unsupported one, so you must create a GSX configuration using the include airplane configuration editor, in order to use it with GSX.

Well, he does say which aircraft. The TFS A330-200. TFS stands for The Fruit Stand. TFS models have been specifically designed to be used as AI aircraft and not to be user-flown.

I assume he added a panel to it as doing that makes AI aircraft be visible in the vehicles selection menu.

A better alternative to the TFS A330-200, which was never designed to be flown by a person to begin with and only used in AI traffic, is the Thomas Ruth A330-200. Also freeware, and was designed to be flown by a user and not a computer. Just a suggestion.

Yes, sorry, I didn't noticed it. However, it's sure he's using it as a pilot, otherwise he couldn't have seen such message from GSX.

That is correct. I am using it until the Project Airbus A330 comes out (which may never happen). I will try your suggestion of configuring the exits with the editor.

Ok, I think I'm getting somewhere. I can only get one jetway to attach though.

You must configure all your doors.
