Hi

I wanted to edit Jetway positions in GSX Level 2.

The F1/F4 functions are working and when I click Numpad 5 I can
hear the confirmation sound that the jetway is connected.

But when I want to rotate and to slew the jetway or GSX-Car Positions
with the Numpads 2/8 and 3/6 nothing is happening.

The same thing when I try to customize the aircraft door positions.

What could be the reason?

First I thought its the "numpad", but why I can hear then the Numpad 5 sound?

I Using P3DV4.3 and Win10/64bit.

Greetings from Berlin

With EZDOk will be a different thing because EZDOK delete the keypad numbers.

Workaround is:

Disable EZDOK from start with the P3D. Just set it to disabled in C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 exe.xml

Than go to camera.cfg in the same folder and rename to camera.cfg.old
At the folder controls rename the standard.xml to standard.xml.old

Than start p3d , the files above will be new generated. Now you can edit your gates and parking positions etc.

Afterwards you are finish, just rename the new generated files into .gsx and delete the .old from the other ones. Set EZDOK active in the exe.xml.

That's it. If you now like to edit other gates etc. just rename the files again and deactivate EZDOK.

Hi Artox67

Thanks for your help!

The workaround works fine!

It would be good if GSX and EZDOK would talk to each other and
find a way that you could work with both programs parallel..

Because to customize GSX you need specific views to see what you are doing...

Thanks

The only possible way for the two working together, would be that Ezdok would temporarily disable its usage of the cursor keys, while GSX is editing. But, of course, you'll lose Ezdok functionality, which kind defeats the purpose of having Ezdok helping with the editing.

So, the only real solution, would be finding a way for Ezdok to use other means to control the camera, like a joystick, so the cursor keys could be free for GSX to use. Moving GSX vehicles with the joystick would be impractical, but a camera should work just fine.
