SODE error
« on: September 10, 2018, 10:36:08 pm »
I have received this SODE error after I installed GSX2.  Can anyone offer any help on how to fix this?  I cannot connect to SODE.
Thanks
Dom

Looks like you need to update SODE.

I'm not sure that is an error. It looks more like an information which said it found SODE entries in the XML files on P3D4, so it's going to remove them.

It is quite odd, since under P3D4, SODE should never use the DLL/EXE.XML files to install into, but only the new add-on.xml method. That's why SODE flag it as a warning. Is it possible you installed SODE manually or, even worse, used the dangerous Migration Tool, that installed SODE in the "FSX-way" ?

In any case, did the SODE Platform Manager managed to remove the wrong entries automatically ? You can also run the Platform Manager separately, after the installation.

Thank you;
I have tried it but without result, SODE_JetwaySDK_v1.6 is too difficult for me. :(

Try to unisntall SODE from the "Program and Features" page of the Windows Control Panel (it's under "Simobjects Display Engine") then reinstall it. Just the installer, you surely don't need the SDK.

I've done all you asked, then opened LKPR again and the floating Jetways are still floating, or there is something I did wrong?

Hello, for now I've uninstalled FS Dreamteam GSX, I find it very annoying for FS Dreamteam and I hope that a solution is found in the form of a new update ...

Your mistake was to assume that any of the errors you reported had anything to do with GSX.

- The first error was a problem with an old version of SODE that wasn't uninstalled properly. GSX comes with the latest 1.6.3 so, it cannot possibly have caused this issue on the old version

- The second error is a problem caused by OrbX change of elevation, which has been discussed in so many other threads here, which can be fixed by disabling that airport from the AEC utility.
