Dear FS Dream Team developers
obviously, after reading several posts here already and experiencing it myself, the SODE gateways in GSX Level 2 are placed according to the elevation of stock FSX airport.
In case people use custom mesh and let ORBX Vector correct the elevation to match it - problem arises.
The basic solution is of course to disable the AEC fix. But this option is not very viable as it would make the airport stick out of (or under) its surrounding terrain, which looks ugly.
Would it be possible to fix this problem from GSX side? I suggest the simple enough solution - simply allow the user to change the airport elevation (one number) at the customization page for the airport. GSX (or SODE) would then simply generate all jetways at this custom altiltude. By default, the elevation could be taken from the default BGL file of the airport as it is now.
Would this be possible? Are there any principal reasons why this would not work? Thank you very much,
with kind regards,
Jan
