Requested clearance
« on: September 12, 2018, 02:44:26 pm »
Hi ,
I was trying to do my first flight with GSX and GSX live2 yesterday but when I requested to push back, a pop up  message requested me to do the clearance. But how can I do a clearance in GSX?
I have PRO ATC addon where I request the clearance for all procedure and I had done so but it didnt help. What went wrong?   Thanks for any advice.

There's no message anywhere in GSX that tells you to DO a clearance.

When you select the  "Prepare for pushback and departure option", a message will say "Departure clearance requested", but it's just an informational message, the program is not expecting to do anything. Then, the window with the pushback direction will open.

Yes, you are right with clearance message. It is only informal but no further  window with directional choice is shown me and I can not perform the push back. It simply doesnt offer me such the choice and no action follow. I need to use the FSX pushback when want to go on but it is  not the way. The GSX push back seems to me more realistic with wingwalker and so.....

Which airport you used ? Sometimes pushback cannot start because of errors in the scenery.

Works fine here. That parking has been set by the developer to have only a Left Pushback and, when I tried it, it offered me a Left Pushback and a Straight Pushback. Tried with a default 747.

However, some planes might have additional pusback constrains in their internal confguration. The PMDG 747, for example, has been set to prevent pushback if you still have the wheelchocks. GSX will of course tell you that but, if you move the Verbosity slider to the lowest settings, you'll miss any warnings from GSX.

I am getting the same problem... Default KPHX Gate 15, PMDG 737. I've had it at other airports, there is no regularity to it. Sometimes I don't get it for several flights, then I do 2 or 3 in a row. Once I reset the gate position it always works. Does that suggest something other than scenery/aircraft?

Cheers!

Try to see if you can find a reproducible pattern.

Try to see if you can find a reproducible pattern.

I have been trying, but I can find any rhyme or reason to it, and I'm not seeing anything in the logs. Is there anything I can submit to you that will help you debug?

Cheers!
