Priscilla and Push-Back Speed
« on: September 08, 2018, 07:46:22 pm »

Is there a possibility for future updates to let Priscilla stay closer to the push-back truck and let him not stop 2 miles from the aircraft and then he walks at 1 km/h towards the aircraft to unlock the truck.
Just a kind request please because we were hoping that v2 would have a new employee to help with the push-back and ground movement but Priscilla is still with us in all his splendour and slow-mo glory.

Thanks in advance. Now back to edit some more airports with jetways!

I have no idea who's "Priscilla" is. We never had a female wingwalker, and never had one that walks in slow motion either.

Umberto, I laughed so hard now my dog left the room!
Your sense of humour is priceless ... "Priscilla" is my name for the wingwalker that stops and stand still way too far from where the truck stops with the plane and then 'HE' walks really, really slow to the aircraft.

The request: could HE walk with the push-back truck and not stop so far, then the speed he does his thing will not bother?
Thanks

There's a reason, of course, why the wingwalker is not automatically accelerated to always match the pushback speed, and it's precisely not obtaining funny nicknames!

If we just accelerate it, it might look less "Priscilla", and more "Charlie Chaplin", like the common effect of the old movies filmed at 18 fps and played back at the current 24 fps cinema standard.

So yes, we might do something about it, but we'll probably have to remodeling him to use a more decide pace. Which is not the same thing as playing him faster...that's clearly something to do for the next big GSX update, the Pushback remake.

No need to make him go faster if he just stays closer to the push back truck and not stop somewhere in the distance while the push back truck continues pushing the plane into position. He can maintain his pace, that's okay, just let him stay closer to the plane, that's all.
Because sometimes he stops and stands about 100m+ from the plane when he asks to set parking brakes.
