It is just this (I think) the strange aspect. The GSX configurator takes the data from Maddog X, as shown in the figure.
Again, I don't see what's strange about it. GSX is taking data from both sources, with your own configuration taking the precedence. So, it seems the Maddog developers purposely disabled the front staircase, most likely for the same reason we did in the older Maddog configurations: to not conflict with the airplane-provided staircase.
Are you sure that airplane doesn't have its own staircase ? If not, maybe they just supplied the same configuration for all variants.
