Cannot Get GSX To Install
« on: April 09, 2018, 10:17:40 pm »
Hello Again!

I had to do a complete reinstall of Flight Simulator X to C:\FSX because of a hard drive failure.

I made sure at the time of reinstall that there were NO antivirus OR firewall programs running.

I then ran and closed FSX and proceeded to install SP 1.

After SP 1 installed I again ran a flight, shut down FSX and installed SP2.

Once again I started FSX and ran it then shut it down again.

Restarted FSX and everything was working perfectly.

Reinstalled Traffic 360 and it runs great, plenty of aircraft at all airports.

Then went to http://www.fsdreamteam.com/products_gsx.html and downloaded the full GSX Installer and proceeded to install it.

It said that everything installed (https://bit.ly/2qidxag) but now when I run FSX everything works EXCEPT for the fact that I have no addon manger, NO gsx Ground Services, NO Couatl and NO SODE showing, anywhere (https://bit.ly/2H5ZY7k).

Where have I gone wrong and what should I do to get GSX working again?

I should also add that I own GSX and the airports KFLL, KIAH, KSDF and PHNL which I have not yet tried to reinstall.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Fact you are ALSO missing SODE, should be proof enough the problem doesn't have anything to do with GSX or any of our software.  Assuming it's not the antivirus, you are likely have a problem with Simconnect, the VC++ runtimes libraries, or both.

See in this post for some suggestions:

And in FSX, it's also possible you have a corrupted DLL/EXE.XML file, which is preventing all modules from being loaded.
