Today I tried to download the actual GSX installer from my SecureSimmarket account. The link there led to a MediaFire page (which seems to be rather strange) with a link to gsx_fsx_setup.exe. If you click on this button, a shitstorm of windows starts and can only been killed by the task manager or by immediate switching off the PC.

I also tried to use the your homepage but also there the MediaFire page shows up.

Is this intentional or has your website been hacked?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Kind regards
Kurt

get it from this link and just put your serial code in the addon manager after.

Thanks Callum^

I am convinced that the present problem has nothing to do with a serial key (key is saved within the addonmanager).

I did a full reinstall today by using my present (eventually overaged) installers:

- setup_addonmangerX.exe, 42.588 KB, version 4.0.0.5

- gsx_fsx-setup.exe, 202.454 KB, version 1.9.9.11

- gsx_vehicles_update8_fsx_setup.exe, 8.806 KB, version 1.9.9.11

In general GSX is working fine now again but when I call the "Ad-Ons"-Tab I see two Addon Managers (both fully working, probably one of them needs to be deleted - I'm working on this).

Anyhow the download problem persists.  >:(

Kind regards
Kurt

Update: Double Addon Managers problem solved.

The correct file download location is on Mediafire, as it always has been. Nobody has been hacked, and I can see the download page and download the installer just fine.

Mediafire works on two different ways: the free version, where downloads are presented with a Mediafire page (possibly with some Ads, which I cannot see since I have an Adblocker...), and the paid version, where we pay for bandwidth, so users can download directly without seeing any ads.

Of course, the normal situation is to always have the paid version, and there's a feature that automatically recharges bandwidth when it has been exhausted, billing us again for a new chunk of bandwidth. It's normally always enabled but, for some reason (maybe due to the switch from 2017 to 2018), it disabled itself automatically, so the sponsored version of the page came out.

It's now fixed so, all downloads should start directly now.

Throw away all your installers, and download and install only the latest GSX full installer. Vehicle updates installers don't exist anymore, since the new Live Update can update everything, and the Stand-Alone Addon Manager is not required if you are installing the full GSX installer, since it comes with it, of course.

Thank you very much for this really helpful clarification!

Shall I uninstall my GSX and Addon Manager or is it ok to apply the new installer above the present one?

It shouldn't make any difference.
