When I pull up the SODE manager it says that module registration status: simobject key(s) not found.
This seems to indicate the SODE SimobjectPaths lines are missing from your FSX.CFG. They are supposed to be added by the SODE installer, or the Platform manager should give you the option to fix them.
However, the real issue is why the SODE installer couldn't add the lines, and this might be caused by your FSX:SE registry keys wrong. This is usually caused by:
- Having installed FSX:SE when FSX was installed, then you removed FSX, which is wrong. You should have uninstalled FSX:SE too, and reinstalled it and run it at least one, in order to re-configure it in "single mode", rather than "side-by-side" with FSX
OR
- Another addon that mistakenly set the FSX:SE registry keys to the FSX ones (because it's not really compatible with it), when FSX:SE is (or was) installed alongside FSX.
So, none of your problems are ever caused by GSX or SODE, they are just a victim of a poor FSX configuration, either caused by the wrong uninstall method, or another addon which wasn't fully compatible with FSX:SE
See this thread here, which explains how the registry keys are supposed to be when the sim is installed properly:
