FSX on Windows Vista
« on: April 10, 2009, 06:28:02 pm »
I now have Windows Vista and whenever I try to add a plane add on such as the F/A-18E Super Hornet by Team KSBT it won't acept it perfectly. QWhen I goto select  the names of the FSX aircraft have been changed to the super hornet varients but left the pictures of the cessnas learjet and airliner and orions the same but renamed them. Also whenever I try to add on a new texture to an aircraft in the aircraft.cfg file it'll allow me to put the text in but not save it. Does Vista not allow modifications?

You have to set the folder permissions on FSX to allow you to change things inside it.  If you opened the CFG as administrator it would allow you to make the changes.  It is a pain in the butt.  I am not at my home computer right now so I can't go through all the steps with you until I get home from work.  I will reply tonight if somebody else doesn't before me.
