P3DV4 screen freeze when click on customize airport positions

Hi, P3DV4, PMDG 777 parked at Flightbeam KSFO-HD Gate G98, everytime I try to customize the airport positions the sim freezes, it will not recover and a hard stop is required and a restart, I have the latest version of GSX and the addon manager, FSDT Live Update was run 2 days ago but I'm not sure if it's happened prior to that, it had occurred at other airports a few weeks ago but it had recovered, any direction would be appreciated.

Anybody? This happens at every airport, reinstalled GSX which hasn't remedied the issue.

I'm sorry but, I cannot reproduce this, and nobody else has reported it before. It must be something wrong with your VC++ libraries. Try to uninstall the VC++ 2015 runtime libraries, and reinstall them:

Hi Umberto, I did reinstall the latest VC++libraries, it sort of worked but the customization page was very sluggish, I didn't uninstall the libraries first just reinstalled them, I'll have another shot this time uninstalling  them first, see how we go.

Well I've persisted and persisted, every time I open the customize airport positions from the P3DV4 addons GSX it opens OK, from there if I click on customize vehicle locations the screen goes black and won't recover, the only way to retrieve the sim is to stop coualt.exe but then of course GSX disappears from the menu and a sim restart is required, this happens in P3DV4 and V3, can somebody please help me understand what's wrong or what procedure to follow to remedy the issue.

I can only repeat and confirm I cannot replicate this and, if you noticed a difference when installing the VC++ libraries, it confirms the problem is related to that, but is still not entirely fixed, so you should probably continue checking the libraries.

Additionally, try with a fresh customization file, by removing the .INI file that belongs to the airport you are trying to edit, located in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX folder.

Thanks Umberto, the libraries thing was probably a placebo effect as it really didn't repair anything, but what I did today was upgrade my nvidia graphics driver to the latest (385.41) which I've done always as new drivers are released but have always reverted back to V368.82 which has always performed the best through out and even up to lately ever since I've had P3DV4 installed, but things had gone haywire since the new 64bit versions of FSDT products for P3DV4, especially GSX for me anyway, I've just done a test with GSX and it seems to be fine with this driver, how this relates to each other is beyond me but it seems to be better than ever including the sim itself so lets see, but so far I'm seeing a definite improvement, computer magic or something like that. It didn't matter what airport I was at it happened at every airport, I will confirm in a few days how we go.
