GSX not picking up the correct AFCAD file
« on: July 21, 2017, 04:09:52 pm »
Hi Umberto,

I have installed a small scenery package for Perth, Aust (YPPH) basically for FSX but it works reasonably well in P3D v3.4.

I have created an entry in Scenery.cfg for it. However, despite rebuilding the Couatl indexed several times GSX is using the default airport data found in P3D\scenery\0902 (from memory). This results in the wrong gates appearing and I can't use GSX for aircraft services.

How can I get GSX to use the supplied BGL in the Perth folder?
Cheers,
Ray.

GSX will automatically use a scenery that has its own area in the scenery.cfg, and will respect the same priority of the sim itself so, it will use the one with the highest layer, when more than one are available for an airport.

However, the scenery must be "self-contained" which means, if you have an airport that only enhance or add few items to the default one, it won't be used by GSX, which doesn't support multiple .BGL for the same airport.

Thanks Umberto. The BGL I'm using is simply an enhancement for the parking slots so your second para explains why it's not used.
Cheers,
Ray.
