Load Timing AS Airbus
« on: August 04, 2017, 01:51:27 pm »
The timing of Loading the Aerosoft A320 is faulty. The FWD Compartement Suitcase Loading is much faster as the AFT Compartement Container Loading.

So - the FWD-Baggage Truck is crashing in the last Container of the AFT-Truck!!

Hoped that is resolved on the Last Build - sadly without avail.
I observe that phenomen over all Releases. Can´t understand why the "Dreamteam" does not change the Timing.
Additional i say that the Container loading is much too slow - like in Slow Motion.
All that is annoying every Use!!

No, it's not.

They are two entirely different kinds of loaders, loading objects of an entirely different types and weight so, why you expect they would load at the same speed ?

Nowhere the GSX manual ever said the "Timings" section of the Settings (if this is what you are referring to), controls the ANIMATION. It ONLY controls the *simulated* Passenger Boarding/Deboarding time, which is not something you see.

The container speed is precisely how it is in real life.

According to real life specifications, the FMC Commander 30 (the larger loader) has a platform raising speed between 4.5 and 5.5 meters per minute, and it goes from 47 cm to 5.5 meters so, it can rise for 5 meters.

The animation is 1200 frames at 30 fps (not related to video fps), so it will take exactly 40 seconds to fully raise the platform (5 meters), so it's even a bit faster than the fastest published speed of 4.5 meters per minute.

As with all other things in the sim which might be "annoying" because of their realistic time, like crossing the ocean in 8 hours, you can obviously use the "Time Acceleration" for that, but it's just wrong to complain that an animation is "wrong" or "annoying", just because it's real.

Principally you negate all - ok.
Nevertheless in result is remaining the Crash of the Suitcase Loader into the Container of the AFT Cont.Load Truck!
Back and force that is the Situation - and that is foolish.
If we name that "Timing" or elsewhere is equal, something -MUST- be wrong - or do you feel that nasty crashing goes well!

I haven't "negated" anything. I simply explained that:

- You cannot expect that a belt loader, which loads luggage with a belt and a certain kind of movement, would automagically syncronize with a platform loader that loads containers with an entirely different method.

- You were wrong saying the movement of the cargo platform was "too slow", because it obviously isn't. It's totally realistic according to the real world vehicle it simulates and, of course, you can use Time Acceleration, just like any other thing in the sim that is timed realistically, but might be boring to follow.

What do you mean with "crash" ? What this has anything to do with the above ? It would be obviously wrong to alter the loading times "just" to prevent a clash between vehicles, because that's not the proper way.

I'm sure you are NOT having a "crash" with every airplane of every airport but, instead, you must have seen it once, and assumed this is a common problem, but it's not.

The vehicles are programmed to wait a random amount of time AFTER the finish a service, for the precise reason to prevent crash between them and this, of course, is the proper solution, not the one you tried to suggest, to make all timings the same.

However, this timing being random, might not be always enough. And, it influenced by how the scenery is made too so, again, you must have seen a random appearance on a specific airplane or a specific airport, and assumed it happens everywhere.

But since you haven't indicated anything about the case, we cannot even check for it. Please supply with all the following:

- the airport used

- the gate used

- the GSX operation you selected (Boarding or Deboarding)
