That seems to indicate a problem with one of the VC++ redistributable runtimes either missing or corrupted. Our software requires the VC++ 2013 redistributable runtimes and, regardless if your system is 64 bit, we require the 32 bit version of the runtime installed.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

So, try to download and install BOTH the x64 and the x86 versions of the runtimes. Usually, you will have to restart Windows.

Try with the VC++ 2015 runtimes too:

If with "convert to 32 bit" you mean reinstall Windows, it would be best if you reinstall Windows 64 bit. And, since Windows 10 it's free for Windows 8 users, there are no reason to continue using Windows 8.1.

You don't seem to understand. The FSX version of our software was 32 bit before, and it's still 32 bit now and it always worked with a 64 bit OS. The only difference is that requires a NEWER version of the VC++ runtimes and because you have a problem with the newer version of the VC++ library NOT with GSX, that's why you get that error.

And, you don't say exactly in which application you get the error, you only say it's "hen I running Fsx I get this error" but what does it mean ? Are you able to identify which program is giving you that message ?

So, downgrading the OS to 32 bit doesn't make any sense. Reinstalling the OS WILL probably fix it but, it can still be 32 bit. Again, since Windows 10 is a FREE upgrade for Windows 8 users, I really don't see the point of staying with Windows 8.1 or, even worse, downgrading it from 64 bit to 32 bit, which will result in serious memory problems, since you won't be able to use more than 4GB of ram IN TOTAL (not by app!).

That means the VC++ libraries you have a problem with are the 2015 ones, which are the ones required by the current version of Couatl.exe

If you see the exit named "Exit 2", this means the airplane is not configured for GSX, since that's the name of the default configuration. However, since the PMDG 777 already comes with a pre-made configuration, it's not normally possible to see the default configuration, unless you tried to customize it manually, and made some kind of mistake.

To be sure GSX is using the correct configuration for the airplane, use the "Reset" button in the airplane configuration page, so any edits you might have added will be cleared, and the internal configuration that comes with GSX will be restored.

Of course, all of this assumes you have the latest GSX version installed. If you installed an older version, it's possible that plane was missing from the internal GSX database.
