TFDI 717 - Error loading texture.

Hey everyone. I am finding an odd problem. I just installed the TFDI 717 as they released the open beta for V4. I am getting this error message which I find interesting as this is the Add On managers folder. So i am unsure why it would be looking for a TFDI texture in the add on manager folder. Any ideas what it might be that its missing?

This is strange: it seem you moved the whole "Simobjects" folder into the Addon Manager folder ?? Or, could be possibly be the TFDI installer install something there, for some reason ?

Ok, maybe I understand what's the confusion is all about:

- The update utility from TFDI is called "Addon Manager" too, and by default, it installs here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\TFDi Design\Addon Manager\

- Our software, by default, installs here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\

So, maybe, you might have mixed up the two, and pointing one installer in the location of the other one.

TFDI did something, even in the TFDI folder there is not effects or sim objects folder. Looks like they must of made a mistake on the installer package. Their add on manager does not let me change any directories when I installed it.

We haven't changed where it installs since release. Our effects folder is directly inside our aircraft folder in the simobjects folder in P3D root. Can you check the TFDi_Design_717 folder in the aircraft folder of P3D and verify all files are there? Our addon manager installs directly to where the registry has the sim located.

Yes the effects are installed there. It happened again after this mornings update. I Uninstalled and Reinstalled it. it continues to direct me to to C:\Program Filed\Addon Manager\Simobjects\Airplanes\TFDI_Design_717\Effects\Texture. I am going to make that file and add the textures see if that fixes it. Because my understanding is that the folder is non existent. So I will try making it existent.

We came to the conclusion last night that this is actually the cause of something that was done to the backend by Lockheed Martin. We are trying to find a way to solve this issue at this point. It is neither our nor Umberto's fault.

I fixed it by creating a folder and copying the requested effects folder into that directory. Thanks to both for the help/
