Couatl crash after update **SOLVED**
« on: June 01, 2017, 07:26:24 pm »
Hi Umberto,

yesterday I've updated the KLAS scenery with the new installer. Since this major update couatl crashes every time I start the FSX with the following messege:

Quote
The addon <unknown> is causing the Couatl Scripting Engine to restart. Please download the latest Stand-Alone Addon Manager from (...)

The log file looks like this:
Quote
couatl v3.2 (build 3823)
panic log started on Thu Jun  1 12:53:37 2017

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\__init__.py", line 137, in onSimStart
File "couatl\common\collisions.py", line 54, in reloadGeometries
File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 1263, in getAircraftData
File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 694, in __init__
ValueError: need more than 21 values to unpack
{}
Loading aircraft data from Airplanes\A320 FMGS JH Project Airbus A320-214
intelliscene.cfg provides aircraft data with priority 1
Using aircraft data from intelliscene.cfg
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 732, in onSimStart
File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 1263, in getAircraftData
File "couatl\common\aircraftData.py", line 694, in __init__
ValueError: need more than 21 values to unpack
{}

I downloadrd the Addon Manager several times (yesterday and today) but nothing changed.

So I've searched at this forum for a solution, and have tried the following things:
- I have installed GSX because I never had this before
- I checked the couatladdons.ini that GSX is enabled (disabled = 0)
- I let the FSX rebuild the fsx.cfg to prevent any bad tweaks
- I've checked the simobject path in the fsx.cfg

Thank you in advance for your help!

Karsten

Was there an update of the Live Updater today? I'm sure, that I ran the Updater several times too, but last time today in the morning about 11-12 hours ago.

For now, the couatl error is gone and seems to work for all FSDT airports. Only the AES jetways are not available, probably Aerosoft has to update AES to find the new scenery paths.
But at all Flightbeam airports all buildings are missing now like they are in demo mode. Reactivating them in the Addon Manager was not successfull.

There have been many updates today...but of course, the updated relevant to the error you reported, was online after those post I've linked.

This has also already been discussed on the forum and fixed, but in this case, it would require to download and install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, because it requires an update of the updater. We are trying to find a way to have the updater being able to update itself...

Okay, with the actual downloaded Addon Manager the Flightbeam airports are fixed too.

Thank you for your help!
