Couatl Scripting Engine Stopped working...
« on: April 08, 2017, 03:47:32 am »
So half of the times I start FSX-SE I'm getting both of these error messages, one right after the other.  Not too sure what's going on here.

Quick update on another issue.  I've been working with FlightSimLabs in diagnosing a crash/CTD with their A320-X add-on.  Their protection software errors out about half the time I try to load their plane.  After about a 2 weeks of testing, I have determined that it's a conflict between FSDT's protection software and FSL's protection software.

When I completely disable both Couatl and Addon Manager, the A320 loads 100% of the time.  Re-enable both, half of the time the A320 CTD's with a Enigma protection error.

I believe FSL will be in touch with FSDT to discuss this.

Cheers,
Todd.

Software setup is:

Sim PC: Three month old fresh install of Windows 7 x64 & FSX-SE, FSUIPC, ChasePlane, vPilot (host mode), Aivlasoft EFB(Data Provider), Various payware scenery(Only Dep & Arr scenery enabled). No firewall nor anti-virus programs running on this Sim PC.

Secondary PC: AS16, Aivlasoft EFB Display, FS RealTime, vPilot (Display mode), WideFS

Hardware setup:

Sim PC: Intel i7 2600k OC 4.9GHz, XSPC RayStorm D5 EX240 Cooling, Sabertooth P67 MB, 16GB DDR3-1600 RAM, ASUS Strix GTX 1070 OC 8GB, 2xSamsung EVO 840 1TB SSD, 1TB WD Black HD, Corsair 1200AX PS.

Sec. PC: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz, ASUS M5A97 R2.0 MB, 16GB RAM, EVGA GTX460 1GB, Agility3 120GB SSD, 500GB WD, Thermaltake Toughpower 650 Modular PS

Which is interesting, since it's very similar since both use the same (Esellerate), I'll surely have a look at it together with FS Labs. Strange that nobody reported it before, considering during the A320 long Beta period, we added several features in GSX which were suggested by FS Labs testers, so they clearly all had GSX, and nobody reported any problems or crashes.

I've just posted it in the FSLabs forum for those who are experiencing the same issue(there are a few) to disable Couatl and Addon Manager, if installed, and see if the error goes away.

All I can say is there's a conflict somewhere and this workaround resolves my issue.  I don't have a lot installed as far as add-on's and, like I said previously, this is fairly new install of both Windows and FSX-SE.

If you need anything else let me know.

Thanks.
