Follow me car drives off in the middle of the guidance

On several occasions at different airports when I've used the follow me car I've seen how it all of a sudden has driven away in a completely different direction leaving me standing there in the middle of the guidance.

When this has happened it's usually when coming up to a turn onto a new taxiway and approximately half way through the turn the follow me car suddenly does a 180 and drives away in the complete opposite direction at full speed. I then have to bring up the menu to revoke the follow me car and then ask for it a second time and wait for it to get back and continue to guide me to my chosen gate.

Anyone else seen this?

I've seen it after getting too close to the car. You can adjust the follow me speeds in the GSX settings. You can also modify the ammount of operational messages GSX will provide (for example the 'Follow Me aborted due to safety reasons' ;-) )

Well, it wasn't like a ran him over  but thanks for the tip!

I'll make sure to keep distance and see what happens.
