Nobody said you have to reinstall anything.
Sometimes, it's enough a Windows reboot. Also, be sure you don't start a new FSX session too quickly after you ended up one, because doing this will not allow for all programs launched by FSX to clean up all their resources and open files, which is the most common reason of the program not starting after a new session.
