Coualt Engine crash and does NOT restart
« on: January 22, 2017, 07:16:25 am »
Going to try my luck here.....

Was parked down on the ground at a bloody freezing YEG in the FSLabs A320 for P3D and when I went to go select catering GSX crashed. I didnt create a log because I assumed it would reload itself after being commanded to restart. (NOTE: I had just landed from a 4 hour flight from Toronto and have not reloaded the sim. I do this VERY OFTEN and no issues) Anywho. I click yes for it to restart the coualt engine but nothing happened.

Guessing GSX thinks its too cold...

I should also add that when this happened(happens) it unloads all FSDT and FlightBeam sceneries and any scenery that uses the coualt engine. I can say this with absolute confidence... GSX and the coualt engine are my most hated addons. (yet I love GSX)

Anywho, I was forced to divert to Victoria when landing into YVR just now because the scenery had unloaded and all I saw were jetways and google map runway textures. No chance in hell am I landing on that...

I didnt create a log because I assumed it would reload itself after being commanded to restart. (

It's not that you can choose to create an error log or not. If you saw the message about a panic log, you had a choice to SEE the log, which you seem to have declined.

Check if you still have the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl.ERR log.

The issue is not that Couatl cannot always restart after a crash, the point is looking at the error logs to check WHY it crashed, and prevent it.

This is an error that nobody ever reported before. Does it happen on that airport only ? If yes, which scenery you used ?
