Couatl Escripting Engine
« on: December 29, 2016, 03:35:44 pm »
Every time I open FSX, appears this message: "The executable of the Coautl Scripting Engine for FSX has been modified. Please check for viruses on your computer. If no viruses are found, please re-install the product"

I had scan my PC several times and it is clean.
I had re-instal the Adon Manager many times and the message still appears every time I open de FSX.

When I run de FSX and look for any of the FSDT airports (KDFW, KIAH, KORD and KJFK2) there are no buildings and no runways and taxiways.

The rest of the sim works normal.

The message is quite clear: something (an antivirus, most likely), is trying to modify the Couatl.exe file, because it has mistakenly flagged it as a threat, so it's trying to "heal" it.

- Turn off the antivirus ENTIRELY

- Reinstall GSX. Use ONLY the current version available now.

- Configure the antivirus to exclude the FSX folder (+ sub-folders) from scanning. Be sure you turn off every kind of "heuristics" from the real-time scanning.

- Be sure you don't have TWO antivirus (or similar security products) running together at the same time.
