Jetway
« on: October 16, 2016, 12:52:17 am »
I am running the ground services software on FSX Steam. All services and vehicles operate as they should, on command. However, the jetway rarely moves at all, just jitters in place. Is there a fix for this? Thanks!

Two things.

GSX only is incorporated via SODE at their KIAH and KMEM scenery, so all other sceneries will use Ctrl J for jetways.

Second, you'll need to be more descriptive of where the jetways are doing this, meaning what airport, gate., default or addon airport, and plane.

No way to help trouble shoot without you giving any specific details.

As explained on the GSX manual, and as discussed many times on the forum, GSX doesn't have anything to do with standard jetways, doesn't change them, doesn't operate them and doesn't do anything to improve them.

Installing GSX won't change anything how they would work on any given scenery, since GSX doesn't make any changes to them.

What GSX does to jetways, is to be aware of their presence and integrate with SODE (which is far more realistic and reliable) so, if you have a 3rd party scenery that is made using SODE, they can be operated from the GSX menu, but it requires a 3rd party scenery that comes with SODE jetways.

Parkings with a default FSX jetways are indicated with "/J" in the GSX parking selection menu, while SODE jetways are indicated with a "/JS".

All default airports that have jetways have default jetways (so GSX doesn't affect them in any way), and most of the 3rd party sceneries out there use either default jetways or don't have any jetways at all.

We added SODE jetways to KMEM and KIAH, and we'll progressively replace default jetways with SODE jetways in the older sceneries as we update them.
