Crash when requesting service **SOLVED**
« on: September 25, 2016, 08:44:00 pm »
Hi,

My GSX has been working fine for a long time, but has been recently often crashing when I request a service. I get the attached error message and the error log is copied below. I have installed the latest add-on manager and vehicles, several times now. I run FSX SP2.

Any suggestions?

Are you using a 3rd party scenery for that airport ? If yes, which one ?

No, I'm not using 3rd party scenery for that specific airport. That's why I tried it there. The first time I noticed this behavior, it was with UK2000 sceneries. Then I moved to other sceneries and thereafter to standard FSX. It's the same behavior everywhere.

I'd add this to another post, but maybe I should do it now. If it doesn't crash, the service vehicles are flying high above the airport. Again, it started with UK2000 (although it was working before), but seems to happen everywhere. I managed to take the picture attached at the same airport showed in the crash report.

Thanks for your support.

I'd add this to another post, but maybe I should do it now. If it doesn't crash, the service vehicles are flying high above the airport.

The floating vehicles has been discussed several times on the forum, and are caused by not having installed the June 1st FULL installer, which was mandatory, see here:

Ok, I probably missed that one. Since the latest Full Installer is now from July 8th, I believe I can just go for that, right? I'm assuming I can install it over the existing one, is this correct or do I need to uninstall GSX to use the Full Installer?

Maybe that will solve the crash too. I'll report back after I try it this evening.

Thanks,

Marconi

Nice! The full install did the trick. Both issues are gone. No more crashes or flying vehicles.

Thanks for the support!
