For Harpsi and our afcad professionals
« on: November 13, 2007, 10:41:40 pm »
Have followed the corresponding Afcad thread with big interest and already installed
Harpsi's afcad file which fits fine. I know Harpsi from previous inputs in some other
forums and appreciate a lot his endeavours and contributions. Hello Harpsi  :).
I was "wandering" in the airport ramp and arrived to the maintenance area, offering to
my opinion one or two parking spaces inside the maintenance hangar. Would'nt it be
so nice to be able to "park" there one or two aircrafts? [we can always fix for them a f/p
making them busy for two hours in the night]
As I'm clumsy with regards to afcad writing, I just drop my request to consider adding in the
future such option. Our skilled afcad writers will, at worse case, drop my request to the
recycle bin  ;D

All the best to you all,
M.D.

Hi

Thank you very much for your kind words. Well, the positions are indeed possible to add. However I don´t know how to open the maintenance hangar... Maybe it has a static door... If someone helps me I can add those places as well, or at least one or two.

Hi Harpsi,

Wide open as you can see. Here is where I would like to place the airplane.

Best,
M.D.

Here is the afcad file of Zurich. Is it the one you are talking about, or might it be an old
one? I believe the hangar we are dealing with is within the loop located 8 33.5 - 8 34.0.

Hi Harpsi,

Located the relevant location of the big hangar. Have drawn a thick black
line which depicts grosso modo where the parking space is supposed
to be. Technically one can park there a medium or even large acft.

Yours,
M.D.

Ok. Added. But I don´t know how it will function because some times AIs turn left or right in strange ways, so I don´t know if wings will be cut by the walls or not. To prevent that I added some apron lines in the middle of the building. They have parking radius of 21, which means you can not use heavy jets, otherwise wings will be cut by the doors.

This one will not be posted probably. It will be included in the SP2, so you can download from there certainly. :)
