couatl v3.1 (build 3469)

Your Couatl.exe is outdated, either because you ignored the last major Live Update notification that asked to install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager (and I think THIS message you just posted also asked you to do that), or because your antivirus is blocking the installation of the update file, so you are stuck with the old version even if you install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager.

- Always disable the antivirus when downloading and installing.

- Before launching FSX, configure the antivirus to exclude the sim folder from scanning.

I don't use antivirus on my Flightsim computer. I only have antivirus on my personal work computer. I don't ignore update request, so I'm not sure how it's saying that I'm ignoring updates.

I haven't said you are ignoring it now, but you SURELY must have ignored it one in the past. Fact is, your Couatl.exe IS outdated so, either it's the antivirus (but you say you don't have one, are you sure, not even the default Windows Defender ?? ), or you ignored the past major update notification.

And, as I've said, the error message that you posted, didn't say just that. It also suggested to download and install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager so, if you do that, it's not possible you would still be stuck with the outdated Couatl.exe, unless it's the antivirus, of course.

I'm sure about the antivurus on my FlightSim computer. Since I don't have anything but FlightSim stuff, I even deactivate defender or any other default security messures on this computer. I've went ahead and just downloaded the latest full install from FSDT website, and reinstalled it. Haven't tried KDFW yet again, but I will see if it's still giving me any problems.
