SODE with GSX
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:26:15 pm »
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with SODE concerning GSX.
If I want to dock the jetways via the GSX menu (Ctrl+F12), for example in Valencia from Aerosoft or for example EPWA, unfortunately nothing happened.

But when I use the SODE Menu (Tab+S) everything went fine .
Have you any idea what the problem could be?

Thank you and kind regards

Does this scenery use the current SODE, or the old SDK ?

I think that both LEVC and EPWA uses SODE 1.3

Sorry if I write here, but I'm a little bit confused: with the lastest GSX update, now we can use SODE in all the airports? And is this included in the installer?
Or there are some specifical airports where SODE can work if we have installed it?

Sorry for the stupid questionsbut it isn't too much clear to me...

No, you can have SODE and GSX integrated, so you won't have to do basically the same operation twice (selecting a parking first in GSX then in SODE), and to allow SODE to benefit of the GSX airplane customization, so doors configured in GSX will be seen by SODE.

But the scenery should be one that already use SODE.

Yesterday I downloaded the latest GSX and SODE 1.33. I park my airplane at EPWA, select CTRL+F12, select the jetway, confirm the selection, but nothing happens, the jetway doesn't move. If instead I use the "usual" Drziewiecki Design SODE activation combination, that is SHIFT+D, the usual SODE menu appears and I can select the jetway in the usual way.
I tried the new GSX+SODE integration at Aerosoft Rome Fiumicino and it works correctly.
What am I doing wrong at EPWA?
Thanks.

Maybe the EPWA scenery is not using the latest SODE SDK ? Do you see any warning messages from GSX when trying to call jetways ?

No, absolutely nothing. I can check the jetway(s) that I want to dock and then confirm selection. No strange messages, but the jetways don't move. I also tried to reload SODE and to test connection through the related menu, everything looks ok.

I can confirm that with LIRF from Aerosoft everything works fine.
But with LEVC and MYNN (both Aerosoft) and EPWA the Jetways don't move via the GSX MenĂ¼.
All the airports use SODE 1.3.

I asked clarification to Jeffrey Stahli (SODE's autor), reading on Drziewiecki forum it seems they have a special menu (used with Shift+D) for this scenery, and since jetways are working only when using that menu, it's possible there must be something that makes them different when triggered with the external GSX API.

I guess it should be fixed with a SODE update, most likely. We don't seem to get any errors back from SODE, which is why you don't see any warning messages.
