AFCAD use
« on: April 17, 2016, 01:04:58 pm »
Have read a lot of topics regarding AFCAD files used by GSX but am confused about a lot of answers given.
My "problem" example
Have loaded a freeware afcad file from AVSIM for CYVR
With FSX I can choose the stands from the AVSIM loaded AFCAD file (terminals A, B etc designations)
GSX however uses the stands (without A, B, etc) as from the original FSX file (APX15140.BGL) and therefore missing new stands which I can choose in FSX
I see GSX uses the standard FSX files instead of the new ones)
(same issue for  other updated airports)
Is there a procedure to have GSX reads the airports chosen by FSX

Could be this AFCAD is not complete, but it only "enhances" the default one ?

If yes, you cannot use it with GSX, which requires the whole AFCAD to be self-contained, and include all informations about the airport. Basically, GSX only use a single AFCAD at a time: it won't "merge" data from different BGLs.

Hi

Same problem here a couple of days ago. The recent CYVR from AVSIM is 2500 kB or so, and by default GSX will skip eth bigger than 2000 kB. Just follow this instructions:
