GSX reading default afcad at A_A Phuket VTSP scenery

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the afcad at VTSP. GSX is reading the default afcad instead of the one from the add-on.

Tried turning off the default afcad by changing .bgl to .off but GSX still looks for it.

Any ideas?

Try to force a complete cache rebuild:

- Exit from the sim.

- Remove the following folder

%PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl

- Restart the sim.

Then it's possible the AFCAD that comes with the scenery has problems, so it has been rejected, and the default is used instead.

You might be able to check this by enabling Logging in the GSX Troubleshooting menu, and regenerate the cache again. If the scenery has been rejected for any reason, you'll see some diagnostic lines about it in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl.LOG

I have this issue too and found the afcad has setting of a very small radius for each taxiway and ramp link. Also every apron link connecting a parking spot  and vehicle path has the same small radius. 0.33 feet!

Even after fixing these errors, GSX loads the default afcad bgl.

The entry in the log is:

Near airport 'vtsp' has a visibility range of 3 miles
Loading airport VTSP from D:\FSX\Scenery\0903\scenery\APX74290.bgl

I have some of these errors through the log file, do they mean anything?

These are surely errors, but they won't cause GSX to reject the file on start, which doesn't try to open the whole .BGL when it starts (for obvious performance reasons). That should happen when regenerating the cache only.

Do the cache regeneration AGAIN, exit from FSX and check the Couatl.LOG immediately after that session. You should see many messages about the cache regeneration, and possibly error messages with reasons why that file has been rejected.

No, they simply means that, since you don't have Cloud9 Bergen installed (or other sceneries with similar messages), it will not load the associated Python script for it.
