Newly added features...
« on: September 16, 2015, 09:56:40 pm »
Firstly, thanks for the these features, they are great ideas. Thanks to your suggestion about the tugs, I was able to add conditions to restrict the type of tugs used on certain aircraft and gates. When I look into the sim file for the GPU and ladder, I dont notice anything that can me moded for conditions. I say this because I am not certain why the marshaller didn't use a ladder when i tested this feature with the default 747. It's vertical eye point is stated as 11ft.

The GPU file is not used now, it's jut a stub that we might use in the future...

The ladder will be used automatically without any need to set any condition, if the marshaller distance which is calculated starting from the eyepoint position of your airplane is too high, and will likely result with the marshaller placed inside a building.

Note that this might not be noticeable on a parking in the open (without a jetway), which will allow the marshaller to be placed farther away, before deciding to use a ladder.

Another of your comments about what is supposedly "real", that always end up being proven wrong, as usual ?

Yes, marshallers DO use ladders and yes, someone ASKED for this feature, here:

That's Washington KIAD, go to 7:20 time on the video.

It's really annoying to get a complain for having added a feature, which simulates a real world procedure, and has also been asked by users.
