« on: September 25, 2015, 02:20:27 am »
Hello,

I recently installed JFK v2 and opened up FSX to see the couatl would crash when loading into the sim at JFK. Here's the error log :

couatl v3.0 (build 3171)
panic log started on Thu Sep 24 20:15:47 2015

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\sceneryAddOnMulti.py", line 138, in onEnter
File "couatl\common\sceneryAddOnMulti.py", line 208, in onEnterArea

File "couatl\common\dynamicShadows.py", line 43, in refresh
File "couatl\common\dynamicShadows.py", line 128, in refreshObjects
File "couatl\JFK2\__init__.py", line 169, in seasonChange
File "couatl\JFK2\__init__.py", line 148, in patchSeason
RuntimeError: CreateFile failed: The system cannot find the path specified: "C:\ProgramData\virtuali/FSDT_KJFK/KJFK_sf01.mdl"

I'm running FSX acceleration, Windows 7 64 Bit.

How would I fix this issue?

Thank you!

That error seems to indicate you haven't installed KJFK, but something else, because it says it cannot find the path where the objects are installed by the installer.

This, unless you did something else, like manually removing files, or move your Windows installation, or started up Windows from another boot drive after installing the scenery. If moved the Windows boot drive after you install the scenery, you must reinstall it.

In any case, you can check the folder indicated in the error log: C:\ProgramData\virtuali/FSDT_KJFK and see if it contains all the scenery .MDL files. It should, because this is where the installer place them.

Thanks for the suggestions Umberto - I checked and the folder wasn't even there, so a reinstall solved the problem! Thank you for your hard work and great scenery :)
