Author Topic: Addonmanager causes P3Dv3 "random" crashes SOLVED AND SOLVED AGAIN (Read 5774 times)

Since I installed the Addon Manager I'm getting random crashes of P3Dv3.

As of now these are 7 crashes, all happening in different situations.
While one happened while P3D was loading the flight others happened after sitting on the ground for half an hour.
I could not find any schemes the crashes follow, other than that they started after installing the addon manager and stop when I disable it in the dll.xml.

Even though the faultingmodule is not shown as the addon manager directly I can still assure you that no crashes happen when the addon manager is disabled, so I'm 100% sure they are caused by the manager.

On my FSX:Steam Edition the Manager runs fine, the problem happens only with P3Dv3.
Even on V2, even though sometimes getting StackHash crashes (which I never cared to trace back since they happened to rare), it ran more or less stable with maybe one crash each 50 flyinghours (roughly estimated).

Here's my systemspecs:

I7-4790K @4.4GHz
GTX770
8GB RAM
Win7 Pro x64

P3Dv3 is installed on a seperate SSD and of course given administrator rights.
User Account Control is turned off.

The product which installed the addon manager is FlightBeams San Francisco HD, however I also already downloaded the standalonemanager afterwards, hoping that it might solve the problems, which it unfortunatly didn't.
Of course I own a lot FSDT addons too which also include the manager and which I'd like to use.

Reinstalling the Manager did not solve the problem.

What are your ideas how to solve these issues?

What's the version of the bglmanx.dll file ?

Please try to reinstall GSX again, because we had another small update to it (related to P3D V3), even if the version number hasn't changed.

Alright, done that and on a first try it did not crash for around 5 hours.

I'll report once again in a few days after more extensive testing, thanks for the quick update.

Unfortunatly the crashes are back since the latest Couatl engine update.

Reinstall the Stand-Alone Addon Manager now, and be sure you turn off any firewall or antivirus that would prevent you to get the current version.

Reinstalled it once again and now it seems to work again on a first test. Just like last time, I'll report if they should occure again. Thanks for the quick help again!
