Fully Automated GSX For Flight Deck Simmers

Is it possible to run GSX in some type of auto mode for individuals in flight decks that don't have access to a keyboard?.

No, it's not.

How do you use FSX without having access to a keyboard ? I guess you programmed some switches to do some functions and/or map to keyboard functions, so you could probably use the same method with GSX. The only keys it needs are its default menu key (which you can remap even in GSX) and the menu keys from 1 to 9, which are needed in any other FSX in-game menu, like the ATC, so you probably have them already mapped.

You can also try speech recognition. If you run Windows 7, you can download the free WSR from Microsoft:

But it seems it doesn't work on Windows 8+. For Windows 8, there's this product here, but is not freeware:

Hi,

There is a dispatch computer that sets up the flight, but once the flight is setup (at the gate, weather loaded and what-not) you are pretty much in the sim away from any keyboard. Would need GSX to work in the background, I wonder if it could be programed into Flight Deck Solutions CDU. That would work nicely.

What's that product ? An hardware or a software ? If it's an hardware, it's possible to assign a keyboard macro and send it to the PC as if it were a key ?

As I've said, it's not as if GSX is different from any other 3rd party addon that uses an in-game menu that will require at a certain point to select some menu option, using an hotkey first, and then a number from 1 to 9.

Which means, it doesn't make any sense that each and every 3rd party addon would need to be modified for using it without a keyboard, it's way more sensible to have your hardware adapted in a way that it can replace such keyboard functions, which will then allow you to have EVERY foreseeable 3rd party addon that starts with an hotkey and then display a menu, to work, without any changes to it.

If your hardware cannot do that, another solution might be using a programmable keypad, like this:
