Gsx Window
« on: June 18, 2015, 01:11:53 am »
Guys, Gals and and anyone that has an answer.
Is there a way to keep the Gsx window open permanently? And close it only when we want  to by way of an assigned key? If the question was ask before, I do sincerely apologize.
Hope the question is understandable.

Why you want to keep it open ? Do you know you can queue services ?

That window should not always opened, because it's not a "GSX Window", it's the (one and only) standard Simconnect menu window, and there's only one used at any time by FSX, and all the installed add-ons can only reuse it when they request it. And of course it's the best way, because you could imagine the chaos if any 3rd party addon could open its own *separate* menu, cluttering the whole screen. That's why Microsoft made just ONE Window to be shared by all addons.

If you had that window permanently opened, another addon couldn't use it so, the correct way of using it, is exactly as GSX is doing: keeping it open for the time strictly necessary.

And as I've said, there's no reason whatsoever to wanting it always open *because* you can queue all GSX services at once, and then close it without any need to reopen it, and it has been made for the precise reason to allow you to do other things, while GSX continues automatically with all the queue services.
