Today I was testing the demo version of JFK and decided to purchase it...great airport. One issue I have is that the winds were out of 190/19 but the active runways included 4R and 4L. Shouldn't 22R and 22L be the active runways in conjunction with 13R and 13L? Great job as always...looking forward to a good KATL, wink wink.

What do you mean with "the winds were" ? How they were set ?

The scenery includes all the runways correctly with their correct size, lengths and ILS procedures when available and the runway selection based on wind direction is made by the default FSX ATC so, depending which program was used to set the wind ( default, 3rd party, FSUIPC options, etc.) it might have an effect on how the default FSX ATC assigned runways.

Sometimes, the wind speed reported by 3rd party products is not the same as the one used by FSX ATC to assign a runway.

But again, the scenery doesn't do anything to prevent proper runway selection. All runways are open for landing and, in case of 4L/22R for example, length is not an issue because the runway is the same, and both have an ILS so, it's really up to FSX to choose the correct one.

Okay, then it must be an issue with ASN and FSX talking to each other. I just thought it was weird that ATC would assign 4R and 4L with a 18 knot tailwind.
