Hi all,

I had the same problem after installing the latest ASN version for P3D 2.5. GSX is now gone. I fixed the encoding on my XML files (back to ANSI), ran the GSX installer again but still no GSX in P3D.

Tried uninstalling and re-installing GSX but no luck.

Yes, no errors, all the way to "would you like to download the latest AFCAD".

Other items in the add-on menu are working (FSUIPC, ASN)

Then your problem doesn't have anything to do with this thread, which only covered the XML file corruption report by the installer, caused by ASN. Or, more precisely, you HAD this problem before, but now you have another one, which is simply the software not starting.

Are you using the CURRENT GSX installer ? If no, or you are not sure, download it again, because if you are running an older version, it might not install the VC++ 2013 runtimes that are now needed by GSX. The new installer, or the new Stand-Alone Addon Manager will do that.
