Assuming that with "latest engine", you mean the new Public Beta test version, it would be better if you posted of any issues with it on the appropriate thread in the Backdoor section, here:

You'll find in that thread, the program has been updated so, if you reinstall the Stand-Alone Addon Manager (the Public Beta) to get the latest files, this issue has been fixed, in addition of several others like the vehicle stuttering.
