yes installed and Active. using v2 and that is what i downloaded and installed
Then I'm sorry, but what are you reporting simply cannot happen. Are you SURE you installed KJFK V2 ? Download and install it again now, please.
but i see a program called vistaMare will not work could that be the problem??
Doesn't have anything to do with us, it's an Aerosoft module used by their sceneries.
Again, if you have BOTH the "Addon Manager" AND the Couatl menus, the Addon Manager reports the scenery as being Active and Installed and you HAVE the latest version and you are NOT confusing JFK V1 with JFK V2, it means everything's working, and it's not possible you won't see the scenery.
just when i go past the International part shows up but nothing else.
Do you mean you DO have buildings, but they disappear/reappear in some places, or you have PARTS of buildings showing ? Or they reappear when you get closer ?
if yes, that's not a problem of the scenery, but an issue that has been discussed many times on the forum, and can be caued by either of these:
1) having set FSX.EXE to run into a "Compatibility" mode. It must be turned off, and this is how FSX gets installed by default, which is the correct setting. It's also possible another addon that starts with FSX and runs under a Compatibility mode, to have the same effect on FSX graphic. Compatibility mode shouldn't be used, because in addition to other problems with file and folder locations, it will force your video drivers to run into a limited performance mode ( WDDM 1.0 instead of the more modern WDDM 1.1 ), and this will have an effect on graphics, but not in all cases, only objects using advanced shaders will be affected, that's why you don't see this in other sceneries, there aren't many other sceneries out there that use your video card properly.
OR
2) a problem with video settings and FSX settings, which might be solved this way:
- Update your video driver
- Reset your video driver settings to default
- Reset the FSX settings to default, by removing the following file:
%APPDATA%\Microsof\FSX\FSX.CFG
This will force FSX to rebuild a new config with all default settings. After doing this, be sure you apply the HIGHMEMFIX tweak in the Addon Manager, save the settings and restart FSX.
