FSX-SE
« on: January 30, 2015, 04:43:35 pm »
All,

I have searched and searched but am not able to resolve the problem I am having.  I have tried the latest LAS and Addonmanager installer but continue to get this error.
%Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX-SE\dll.xml Error on line 0, position 0:

The system cannot find the path specified.

I only have steam version running on this machine and do not have an SE folder, it is just FSX.

All the simconnects are downloaded.

Thanks for the help!

It seems your registry entry for FSX Steam version is wrong, because it's configured AS IF you installed BOTH FSX and FSX:SE, but the Steam edition is instead installed alone.

Thanks for the quick reply, any ideas on how to fix this?

I thought if it was a standalone install, it would be FSX and if the two were installed together it would be FSX-SE

Checking the registry keys for both FSX and FSX:SE. Could you you removed FSX manually without uninstalling it first ? Or you ran a 3rd party installer that doesn't NOT support the Steam edition, that changed or tried to "fix" the registry keys ?

That's exactly how it should be, when things are working normalky.
