Jetways at KJFK
« on: September 09, 2013, 11:20:12 pm »
Hi
I have the JFK demo, and I was wondering if there are moving jetways. If they do work, do they work in the demo, because I cant get them to move.
thanks

JFK uses standard animated jetways using the default FSX method (CTRL+J) and yes, they work in the demo of course.

Your problem could be:

- You haven't parked correctly, sometimes it's enough going a bit ahead/back, to have the jetway moving.

- You haven't tried all of them. A couple of them are static.

- Your airplane doesn't have the Exits section in the aircraft.cfg file correctly set.

- You have turned off the "Advanced Animations" flag in the settings.

As explained many times on the forum, whenever you are missing *just* jetways, it's NEVER a problem of the scenery, and it's always a problem caused by something else.

The only thing that can exclude jetways, it's another scenery AFCAD so, check all the following:

- You don't have another scenery in conflict. Use the free FSX Airport Scanner to find it.

- If you use AES, check that is not excluding the jetways, because it also comes with its own AFCADs which are used to exclude jetways in a scenery to replace them with its own so, an issue with AES might also be the cause of disappearing jetways.

Just a question to make sure I have not installed something wrong, the jetway of stand 103 (3 at Terminal 1) is it static or moving ?

That's a static jetway.

ALL of them, of course, except a few static like 31A. The very few static are easy to spot, since they are also different.
