Is GSX working with new iFly 747?
« on: November 24, 2014, 03:06:30 am »
Hi all,

Just per the title of this topic.

Is GSX working okay with the new iFly747?

I get one cargo loader and one catering vehicle.

As explained many times already on the forum ( and of course on the GSX manual ), there's no such thing of GSX "working" or "not working" with a certain airplane. There are only a number of airplanes internally supported by GSX, and an airplane configuration editor included, where you can add ANY airplane quite easily.

So, if the airplane you use is not already internally supported by GSX, which is quite normal if it's a model that has been JUST released, you can easily create a new configuration for it, using the airplane configuration included with GSX.

The only thing that might be not so easy to do is, if the airplane uses custom variables for doors, figuring it out their names to include in the XML expression for that door. But you can't skip this issue, if you just set the configuration for that door to not have an open/closed check, so GSX will use it, but it will ignore its status, so you won't be reminded if it's closed if you try to start a service with the door closed.

Of course, if a 3rd party airplane model becomes popular enough, we'll usually add it to the list of the internally-supported planes, but the included airplane configuration editor allows you to configure any airplane without waiting for it to be added to GSX internally.
