Nothing in GSX is related in any way to the jetway (if with "gate animations" you mean that), but even if you mean something else, it's not possible that something like this could be caused by GSX, because what crashed, according to your error detail, is the Prepar3D.EXE process, calling the KERNELBASE.dll, which is a fairly low-level Windows library.
GSX code runs *entirely* outside the sim (under the Couatl.exe process ) and can't, by definition, cause a crash into a different process. The worse it can happen, is that Couatl.exe itself might crash, but it won't be able to bring down Prepar3D.exe with it.
So no, your problem must be caused by something else, perhaps a generic installation problem, and calling GSX is just triggering a condition you already had, so you are mislead thinking it might be caused by it, just because it happened after you called GSX.
