Editing scenery files (Skiathos X?)
« on: July 16, 2014, 02:34:28 pm »
Hi there,

I know this is not completely GSX related, but I would like to know whether it is easy and possible to edit scenery files (.bgl)

Having just visited the Greek island of Skiathos last week on holiday, I learnt a lot about how they manage to fit in max 3 aircraft on the apron at a time. I also could see there was progress on the ramp extension, a new taxiway and a new runway extension of 110m which was recently finished this year (at the RWY 02 end)

However, all I want to know is how to change the parking coordinates and the direction in which an aircraft points while parked. For example, if you load an aircraft up from the FSX menu to Gate 1, the direction the aircraft is facing should be almost parallel to the north taxiway which goes to RWY 20, so facing the opposite direction. Furthermore, if a 3rd aircraft lands on the island, it will have to park on the ramp-taxiway as you can see in the attacked picture link (http://billedeupload.dk/?v=Rkyd1.jpg) , and I would like to know how to add another gate there manually (if that is possible at all?).

This was difficult to explain, but all I want to know is how to edit these files and change the coordinates/positioning of various gates, and add more gates.

Dan
